Separate the relationships
A supplied sample, an affiliate commission and a paid placement are distinct arrangements. An article may involve more than one. Look for a disclosure that describes the actual relationship near the content, rather than relying only on a general statement buried elsewhere.
Look beyond the adjective
Calling a review independent does not explain how a rating was produced. Useful supporting details include the test period, sample limitations, measurement method and an account of weaknesses. An article that lists specifications without a test record should be read as an overview, however confident its conclusion sounds.
Our current edition
This site currently publishes documentation analysis and context. It has no affiliate purchasing links and reports no hands-on device tests. If that changes, the specific article must describe the relationship and evidence type. Reader trust should follow visible records rather than an unexplained badge.
Record note
Launch edition. This is an explanatory documentation article. No physical testing or independent certification is claimed.
