Ask for the conditions

A published puff figure becomes interpretable only alongside its stated method: draw duration, interval, operating mode and endpoint. If those conditions are missing, retain the figure as an attributed claim. A large number printed in a title does not provide a reproducible test protocol.

Keep unlike evidence apart

A manufacturer estimate, an informal user account and a controlled measurement are different evidence types. Putting them in one ranking column implies comparability that has not been shown. Instead, name the evidence type and explain the limits of the comparison.

What this site publishes

We do not convert advertised puff figures into promised days of use, cigarette equivalents or a product league table. Our documentation notes examine how a statement is supported. A future measured report would need its own protocol, sample details and record of uncertainty before it could be labeled as a test.
